Interior is by far the more common technique, since exterior requires access to the outer walls of your crawl space (we typically only install exterior crawl space insulation when we’re already performing a drainage project). When we install interior crawl space insulation, we encapsulate the space with our Dry-Right Conduit vapor barrier, then line the walls with fire-resistant rigid insulation. We can further insulate the space, if desired, by spraying closed cell foam insulation in certain areas.
